A Southbank Speculation

The project begins with the idea of blurring the boundary between the river Thames and the Southbank. The device rests in the embankment and constantly chimes as it is triggered by waves bouncing off the wall. Varying sounds of hammers hitting steel bars in tension within a concrete shell alert passers-by of a noise emitting from the wall. The mechanism is hidden from view, thus remaining a mystery for pedestrians and simply making the embankment more than it really is; an alert to notify walkers of the spectacle of the Thames.D&M_Speculative1D&M_Speculative2Speculative Plan & Axo
